Is there a minimum amount of debt to qualify?
There is a minimum amount of $2,000 for individuals to qualify for Freedom Debt Management's credit counseling program.

Do you deal with unsecured debt only?
Yes, the organization only deals with unsecured debt.

Do you require that all of my accounts are included in the program?
If the client has any accounts with Bank of America they must enroll all of their unsecured accounts into their debt management plan. For every other instance this is not required.

How is the set up fee and monthly maintenance fee determined? What is the fee?
The fees are determined by the state that the client lives in. The one time set up fee in Florida is $50 and in every other state it is $65. The monthly maintenance fee ranges from $19-50 depending on the state that the client lives in.

Are there any creditors that you do not work with?
While Freedom Debt Management works with all creditors, the representative who provided answers for Payingpaul.com acknowledged that Dell and Credit One would not lower their monthly payment or interest rate. As a result, those accounts can be consolidated into the debt management plan but those specific rates can not be adjusted.

How will I be kept appraised of whether you are making my payments on time? Are statements sent? Can I review my statements online?
The creditor will continue sending monthly statements to individuals enrolled in the debt management plan. Upon request the client can receive a statement from Freedom Debt Management. Online access is not available at this time.

Do you have a refund policy for unsatisfied customers?
Freedom Debt Management has a case by case policy for refunding their clients.
